The Triumph Stag remains one of the most distinctive British grand tourers of the 1970s, combining Michelotti's elegant styling with four-seat practicality and open-air motoring. This particular example offers an interesting alternative to the standard Stag, having been fitted with a Rover V8 engine understood to date from the 1990s.
The current owner has enjoyed the car since 1999, purchasing it with the Rover V8 already installed, meaning the conversion has been part of the car's history for at least 27 years, it's spent more time with the Rover engine than it did with the original! The Rover unit provides a well-proven and characterful alternative to the original Triumph V8, while the automatic transmission makes this an easy and relaxed car to enjoy.
