The Porsche 911 needs no introduction. By 1969 it had established itself as the best all round sports car. No other make or model matched it for useability and not least, driveability. Add to that an iconic silhouette and you can understand why the 1960s Porsche remains a purist icon for all cars to come from Stuttgart over the years.
The Porsche 911T marked an important evolution in the 911 lineup. Introduced as the "Touring" model, the 911T was positioned as the entry model 911 and retained the same classic silhouette and rear-engine layout that defined the brand.
For the 1969 model year, Porsche extended the wheelbase of all 911’s slightly to improve handling stability, especially at higher speeds.
The 911T came equipped with a 2.0-liter, air-cooled flat-six engine producing 110 horsepower. The engine casing made out of lightweight magnesium to save weight.
While not as aggressive as its siblings, the 911T offered a smooth, responsive drive with a 0–60 mph time of around 9 seconds and a top speed near 125 mph.
Its light weight (just over 2,300 lbs), precise steering, and excellent weight distribution made the 911T a favourite among driving purists.
This particular 911T was finished on the 7th of May 1969 and noted as export for USA.

No history is known of its time in the US, however in 2011 the Porsche was imported to Holland and one year later, in 2012, registered for the road in Germany.
The German owner had the engine rebuild in 2016 with photographic documentation and accompanying invoice. All work is listed by the engine builder and includes new camshafts and the fitment of a hydraulic chain tensioner upgrade kit, new gaskets throughout including top end gaskets and cylinder base gaskets, new main crankshaft seals, new oil tube kit, new chains, new sprockets, new bearings, reconditioned pistons with new piston rings, rebuild carburettors and a rebuild clutch. As well, the engine compartment, gearbox tunnel and rear wheel arches were cleaned, rust protected and conserved with Mike Sanders special conservation grease.
In 2022 the Porsche was sold to Denmark and has resided with the same enthusiast owner since. In 2024 the Porsche received a service including fresh oil, filters and the fitting of new gear linkage bushes and final adjustment of the gearshift.
The original green tinted Sekurit window glass is still in place as are the original and rare Porsche rear seat belts. A spare, reconditioned, period correct Blaupunkt radio with build in Bluetooth unit, has been purchased from Oldtimer-Radio in Germany and comes with the car but has not yet fitted.
This 1969 911T is an honest, drivers car that can be enjoyed immediately and is appreciated for its pure and analogue driving experience.
