Beautiful example of Mercedes 500 SL (R107), produced in 1983, then imported in Italy and sold in Rimini in 1988 in diamond blue metallic color with blue leather interior, with automatic 4-speed gearbox.
Mechanics in order, as well as the interior and bodywork. The hard top is present, also in the same state of conservation as the car, as well as the tools, the jack and the spare wheel.
This is the evolution of the W113, the "Pagoda" from which it inherited the characteristic concave hard roof to which it owes its nickname: under the roof, however, everything was updated and adapted to the demanding US safety standards. The car was in fact enlarged in size and significantly strengthened: consequently the engines also became more powerful in order not to disadvantage the road behavior of this highly commercially successful spider, both in the USA and in the Old Continent. This example is fitted with the classic 245 horsepower eight-cylinder 5L engine equipped with mechanical injection, combined with the four-speed automatic gearbox.
The car, now with 150,000km, was purchased at the Duemila Ruote auction in 2016, after the previous owner bought it in 2005. Previously the car had few changes of ownership; it is delivered with complete chronological extract and service booklet, serviced and in good running conditions.
