This gorgeous Mercedes Benz 190 SL was sold new in the USA to Mr. Paul Churran from Bridgewater (MA). In March 1997 the automobile was sold by Gullwins Motor Cars Inc. and transported to the Netherlands by Emery Worldwide. The new owner, Mr. Kabel from Haarlem took delivery of the car on 22 April 1997. About seven years later the car was sold to Mr. Tinnenbroek who had a lot of work done to the car. In 2006 the engine was overhauled by a specialized firm, and in 2009 the car was extensively restored by the renowned Dutch Mercedes-Benz specialist van Dijk. The bodywork was restored, and given a perfect paint job, the interior was renewed, the chrome parts were beautifully chromed, and a new hood was fitted. In 2012 this wonderful 190 SL was sold to the current owner. The car was serviced and maintained by S2 Classic Cars ever since. In 2020 a new ignition switch was fitted, and in 2021 the brakes were overhauled. In 2022 the car was fine-tuned on the roller bench (Dyno) by S2 classic Cars.
This gorgeous Mercedes-Benz 190 SL is in an excellent condition and the car drives perfectly. The owner has used the car for touring trips regularly. Also, the car was used in a photo shoot for the POM Amsterdam fashion brand. Photos of this shoot are in the extensive documentation file.
This beautiful Mercedes-Benz 190 SL is a wonderful collector’s item, and a piece of historic motoring art that can be enjoyed in a collection as well as on the open road. This classic Mercedes-Benz can be exported to and registered in every country around the world.
