A rare An unique two door coupé by noted French Parisian Coachbuilder Guillore. Significantly, this Delahaye 135M is matching numbers and has the famed ‘Cotal’ semi-automatic gearbox, matched to the renowned 6 cylinder 3.6 litre triple solexengine. Finished in ‘Circassian Blue’ it has with grey leather interior,,red carpet , burr walnut effect dashboard and wool headlining . This Delahaye 135M was delivered new to its first owner in Marseille where it remained for much of its life: subsequently it moved to Holland and Germany before coming to the UK in 2010, where initially it received well-documented specialist work by ‘Marque’ specialist ‘Polson.’

Subsequently the Delahaye 135M has had a sympathetic engine out conservationrestoration by 'Premium Classic Cars’ preserving, where possible details of the original interior. Much work has also been completed by the current fastidious owner by whom 10's of thousands of pounds have been spent. Documented work by Polson has included a new clutch and flywheel in parallel with a full overhaul of the ‘Cotal’ gearbox. ‘Premium Classic Cars’ continued with an engine-out detailing, a complete overhaul of the Delahaye 135M’s cooling system, fuel delivery system and all electrics.

The suspension including new bushes, restored shock absorbers and brakes have been fully rebuilt, with all components stripped to bare metal, prior to repainting.
All four wire wheels have been stripped to bare metal and correctly repainted too.

The interior of the Delahaye 135M has been partly and conservatively re-trimmed and reglazed meaning the Delahaye 135M presents itself in a fabulous condition. Many hours of work have helped to preserve the cars functionality pets condition and including a full rewire of the car.
a sympathetic restoration of window and door mechanisms together with instruments ,original Motorola radio and dashboard leaving this 135 M as perhaps, one of the finest examples left in running order today.
There is no doubt regarding the performance heritage of this Delahaye 135M, which in its day was successful at both Le Mans and also the Monte Carlo Rally. The ‘M’ was the more powerful version of the 135 and the car that provided the main stay of the Delahaye’s production up until 1954.

This 100mph Delahaye 135M, with customized bodywork by Guillore in coupe form was one of the quicker cars in the UK in 1950. Of course along with its super performance, it also carries the ‘Cotal’ gearbox which injects real pace to a journey and brings wonderful enjoyment to this uniquely satisfying driver’s car. The blue paint is in good order. New Grey leather is fitted to the front seating surfaces and door cards ,complemented by the red wilton carpet and polished aluminium door frame cappings. The boot is a commodious affair well suited to ample quantities of touring luggage.
To sum up we have a "Grande Routier" here well and freshly suited to both concours d’elegance rallies & high speed touring. It is a fully sorted car & wants for nothing.
