In 1963, the first major restyling took place and the Sting Ray was born. The car also had the typical optical 'break line' over the entire flank, and was equipped with the characteristic pointed roof that reminded one of a shark. Furthermore, the C2 had pop-up headlights and exhausts that protruded from the rear bumper.
