This magnificent 'Derby' Bentley 3.5 liter was sold new in Great Britain. The car is in beautiful original condition and features the original 'Park Ward' open touring bodywork with a three-position hood (open, half-open, and closed). This nearly 90-year-old Bentley is a magnificent time capsule with all its original details and a beautiful patina. Mechanically, the Bentley is fully up-to-date and ready to be enjoyed by a new owner who recognizes the importance of this original piece of Bentley heritage.
The history is known from day one, as are the names of all previous owners. Altena Classic Service recently brought the car from England to their Dutch showroom. The car is still UK registered. This super-original Bentley 3.5 liter has been beautifully maintained. In recent years, the gearbox and carburetors have been overhauled, and the overdrive was rebuilt by Tim Payn. In 2017, the bodywork was repainted in its original color.
This grand tourer has participated in several important events, such as the Flying Scotsman and the Shamrock 1000 Mile Trial. This vintage Bentley is a wonderful driver's car in beautiful, original condition! The car comes complete with the original owner's manual and original tools in the trunk.
