Hexagon Classics are delighted to offer this ultra-rare and motorsport-inspired ALPINA B3 GT3, presented in Alpina Blue with its distinctive GT3 Alcantara interior. Built to celebrate ALPINA’s success in the ADAC GT Masters Series, the B3 GT3 is a road-going homage to the race-winning B6 GT3 and stands as one of the most focused and collectible ALPINAs ever made.
ALPINA works closely with BMW and their processes are integrated into BMW's production lines, thus ALPINA is recognized by the German Ministry of Transport as an automobile manufacturer. This contrasts with other performance specialists who are aftermarket tuners. Thus ALPINA-built cars are branded and registered as ALPINA instead of BMW, and an ALPINA can be serviced at all BMW dealerships.
Distinctive features of ALPINA vehicles are the fact that these models are literally "manufactured", meaning "hand-made". The production process switches between fine tuning the engine, delivering it to the BMW plant, marrying engine and body there, bringing it back to ALPINA for interior upgrade with ALPINA's specific components, again all in a hand-made process that allows only limited production numbers. With just 99 examples produced globally, and less than a handful in the UK, this B3 GT3 is a truly limited-edition performance saloon. Powered by a specially tuned 3.0-litre twin-turbocharged inline-six engine producing 402 bhp at 6,000 rpm, and 398 lb-ft of torque, the car sprints from 0 - 62 mph in just 4.5 seconds and on to an electronically limited top speed of 186 mph. The Akrapovič titanium exhaust system saves 11kg of weight and gives the GT3 a distinctive, more aggressive tone.
