This 1970 Cadillac Hardtop Sedan DeVille is a low-mileage, always garage-kept, second-owner vehicle. It was originally purchased by Dr. Philip Fried in New York and driven by him until 2016, before being sold to me and shipped to Germany.
The interior is completely original with the exception of the carpet. The leather is still soft and of high quality. All electrical functions are fully operational, including the power six-way adjustable seat, power windows, central locking, and the rare optional rear window defroster.
The following work has been completed:
Engine: Completely rebuilt. Block bored, honed, and decked; cylinder heads resurfaced; new pistons, camshaft, bearings, valve springs, lifters, and pushrods. Edelbrock intake manifold, fuel pump, waterpump, sparkplugs, ignition coil, ignition cables, and distributor with electronic ignition module installed. Original carburetor rebuilt and tuned.
Front and rear suspension: New suspension springs, shock absorbers, sway bar links, and all front-axle suspension bushings.
Front and rear brakes: Front disc brakes, brake pads, rear brake shoes, front and rear wheel bearings.
Front and rear tires: New (2025).
Interior: New carpet and radio. Rear window defroster motor refurbished.
All invoices and documentation for the new parts are available.
Thanks to the complete overhaul of the suspension and drivetrain, the car drives like a new vehicle. It handles confidently in corners and accelerates exactly as expected.
All original parts have been stored in a dry, warm environment, allowing the vehicle to be returned to its original condition at any time. The air-conditioning system has been removed but is in good condition.
Additionally, the car has been repainted in its original color, “Byzantine Gold,” as the original paint had lost its shine. The old paint was completely stripped down to bare metal before repainting. The vinyl roof, however, is still original and in good condition.
