The Aston Martin Vanquish holds a special place in the marque’s history as an icon of modern British engineering that marked the return of hand-crafted, high-performance grand touring under Aston Martin’s flagship. First launched in 2001, famously featuring in the James Bond film Die Another Day, the Vanquish quickly became the brand’s halo car. By 2004, the enhanced Vanquish S was introduced, bringing more power, sharper handling, and refined styling to what was already an exceptional GT. In total just 1,086 Vanquish S were made, of which only 375 were specified in right hand drive configuration. With only a handful of late-production models built from September 2005 onwards the Vanquish S represents the very peak of this legendary model’s evolution.

For the Vanquish S, power was increased to 520bhp, allowing a top speed of 200mph, making it the fastest road-going Aston Martin at the time. Handling was sharpened with revised steering and suspension, while subtle aerodynamic improvements enhanced stability at high speeds. Production of the Vanquish S continued until 2007, with final assembly taking place at the renowned Newport Pagnell factory, marking the end of an era, as the Vanquish was the last model to be hand-built at the historic site.
