The 2015 Porsche 911 GT3 (991.1) stands as one of the most compelling modern interpretations of the GT3 philosophy. A car conceived first and foremost for the driver, yet engineered with the breadth of ability to excel on road and circuit alike.



At its heart lies a 3.8-litre naturally aspirated flat-six, derived directly from Porsche’s motorsport programme. Producing 475bhp and revving to a spine-tingling 9,000rpm, it delivers an immediacy and throttle response that has become increasingly rare in the modern performance car landscape. Power is channelled exclusively to the rear wheels via Porsche’s 7-speed PDK gearbox, offering lightning-fast shifts and relentless acceleration. Zero to 60mph in approximately 3.5 seconds, with a top speed approaching 196mph.



The 991.1 GT3 introduced a number of technical firsts for the marque, most notably rear-axle steering, transforming agility at low speeds and providing remarkable stability when pushing on. Combined with a wider track, motorsport-derived suspension and a fixed rear wing generating genuine downforce, the GT3 feels surgically precise, yet confidence-inspiring even when driven hard.



Visually, the GT3 is unmistakable. Purposeful without excess, its widened stance, centre-exit exhaust and signature rear wing communicate intent instantly. Finished in the striking Solid White, the car immediately catches the eye. The platinum-coloured, centre lock forged wheels provide a subtle contrast and house the large red brake calipers. The interior features a combination of black leather and Alcantara, with a red contrast stitch throughout. The exterior theme is brought inside thanks to an interior colour pack to the dashboard, door cards and centre console. Guards Red seat belts add a final finishing touch. Further interior specification includes the Adaptive Sports Seats Plus with additional seat heating optioned and a GT3 SportDesign steering wheel.



Additionally, this GT3 features the very useful front-axle lift system, instantly raising the front of the car to help negotiate any obstacles or uneven surfaces that you need to overcome. A Sports Exhaust is also optioned, providing an obvious change in tone when activated. Notably, this GT3 also features the later G-Series engine, covering off all revisions and issues as seen on some of the earlier cars.
