We are offering a very rare Leyland Mini 1000 pick-up from 1978, which was completely and very elaborately restored in the 1990s and is in mint condition.
The Mini has been in Germany since 1984 and in the collection of its current owner since 1987, who had the Mini completely and very elaborately restored by a specialist company (Jürgen Dlugosch, www.DGHklassikmotorsport.de) between 1993 and 1995.
The entire restoration is very well documented.
All pictures and invoices are available and document the enormous amount of time and money invested. The total cost of the rebuild in 1995 was around 100,000 DM!
Since this rebuild, the Mini has been constantly cared for, maintained and driven. The latest expert opinion from 2018 rates the vehicle with a grade of 1.5.
This Mini Pick-Up is probably the best on the market.
It is in very good condition, both visually and technically. The gearbox, the built-in 1,256 cc engine with 64 hp and all auxiliary units were replaced during the restoration (new parts). The engine runs excellently. The chassis has been upgraded with SPAX dampers and converted to disc brakes from the Cooper-S.
The Mini stands on 5×10 aluminium rims from Wolfrace. All modifications have been registered.
The interior has been lined with high-quality carpet and fine leather. A radio/CD/cassette player has been installed in the headliner and the dashboard has been lined with high-quality wood.
