There are fast cars. There are rare cars. And then there’s the Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren 722 Edition – a car that looks like it escaped straight from a Marvel movie and at the same time was invited to Le Mans as a VIP. The 722 isn’t a sports car – it’s a statement. A threat on four wheels. A supercar from a time when Mercedes and McLaren didn’t block each other, but together built a rocket.

722 – more than just a number
Why 722? No, it’s not the horsepower (though you might think so). The number is a tribute to Stirling Moss and Denis Jenkinson, who won the Mille Miglia in 1955 in a Mercedes 300 SLR with start number 722 (7:22 a.m. start time) – at an average of over 157 km/h. In 1955! On public roads!
