**The vehicle
**This Daimler-Benz 280 SL Pagoda in an elegant silver-gray metallic color combination with red leather interior was first registered on August 20, 1969, and embodies the timeless style of the classic SL series. The current owner purchased the vehicle in 2012 and has maintained it with special care ever since. The vehicle has been regularly serviced and improved in detail. In 1998, the car underwent a comprehensive restoration. In the course of this, the vehicle was fitted with an original Mercedes-Benz replacement engine, which kept the technology at a flawless factory level. The transmission was converted to a GETRAG 5-speed transmission in 2006, which significantly improved driving comfort and long-distance suitability. During the overhaul of the rear axle in 2007, the vehicle was fitted with a long rear axle ratio, which further enhances driving pleasure. The SONNENLAND-quality fabric soft top was replaced in 2012 and the leather seats in 2016.During the last service in June 2024, the entire brake system on the front and rear axles, including the brake calipers, was overhauled. In addition to countless invoices and pictures of the restoration, the valuation reports from 2012, 2016, and 2022 are available, as well as a copy of the data card.
