This historic vehicle is one of the first models produced by Mercedes-Benz under the Daimler-Benz AG. Until 1926, Messrs. Benz and Daimler manufactured vehicles separately. It was only after the merger and establishment of the company in 1926 that one could truly speak of a genuine Mercedes of the Daimler-Benz AG. This vehicle is a Mercedes W02 8/38, built in the year 1926/1927. Given that the Mercedes models designated with the type W01 were primarily experimental vehicles, this can indeed be considered the first Mercedes-Benz model under the Daimler AG.
