Does anyone here expect me to give a sober vehicle description of this gigantic piece of automotive engineering? Certainly not really.
This is probably the last time that the Mercedes-Benz and Mercedes-AMG engineers were able to show what they are capable of. And they pulled out all the stops: Front mid-engine, dry sump lubrication, torque tube, transaxle design and Speedshift dual-clutch transmission. Madness - all in one car! Why is that? To put it simply: from 0 to 100 in 3.8 seconds; no, it's not electric, it's not a soft-brushed all-wheel drive, it's a 522 hp V8 with 670 Nm of torque and an insane sound that only the mad men and women of the AMG sound department can produce. Without any fake sound modules. But sound isn't everything. Dry sump lubrication, front-mid engine and transaxle construction lead to a low center of gravity and a weight distribution of 47% front and 53% rear - together with the excellent suspension, which was certainly tuned by Bernd Schneider - we have an incredibly neutral handling for a rear-wheel drive car with this engine power. In other words: you have to force the GT into a drift on the racetrack (from personal experience: even on frozen lakes in Sweden), that's how long it remains neutral.
And when you're sitting in a GT, what Bernd Schneider told us on the racetrack applies to Porsche drivers: "Don't even try to overtake us, we're faster than you anyway!".
Our GT S is a roadster in selenite gray magno with black nappa leather. And it also has every other special feature you could possibly need. The roar of the V8 biturbo and the feeling of the forces of nature with the top down are standard. Our car is accident-free, 1st hand and the VAT can be shown.
