In the heart of the McLaren 570GT is a superbly developed 3.8L twin turbocharged V8 engine coupled up to a 7-speed dual clutch automatic transmission. While this set up provides unapologetic performance, the GT variant of the 570 offers a great balance with its usability on the road. The complaintProactive Chassis Control II and hydraulic interlinked dampers ensure a comfortable ride often found lacking among supercars in its class, perfect for longer distances. Further enhancing its long-distance capability is the 370L storage capacity found in the front and the additional side-hinged "Touring Pack" door for easy access to rear storage. The icing on the cake for the GT features is definitely the dedicated touring mode, a unique drive setting that optimises throttle response, exhaust note, and chassis firmness for relaxed cruising.

At the Geneva Motor Show in March 2016, the Grand Tourer Variant The 570GT was unveiled and today, the 570GT is arguably the "best everyday supercar," appealing to enthusiasts who want uncompromised thrills without the track-only compromises of purer models. Though McLaren refined the 570GT in many ways to make it a polite car to use more regularly, such refinements do not take away from its blistering prowess on a spirited drive. With a carbon-fibre MonoCell II chassis and lightweight aluminium body, it achieves a class-leading 393 PS/tonne ratio, delivering 0-60 mph in 3.2 seconds. The driving position and power delivery provide a superb sensation of speed, truly a remarkable experience.

Our example drives exceptionally well, testament to the meticulous maintenance that has been carried out throughout its time. Services have been recorded at 18245, 26466, 44149, 45319 and in 2024 £11500 was spent at 54361 miles on servicing, new shocks, front and rear brake discs and pads and handbrake pads. More recently the McLaren was serviced at 56197 and earlier in 2025 £1499 was spent on an Apple Car Play/Andriod audio upgrade and before we collected the car, at 57898 miles McLaren Manchester charged over £2000 for work to the air-conditioning system. With the history is also a detailed log for extensive mechanical and cosmetic work carried out between 2020 and 2021.
