Descripción

  • One of 559 examples built during the two years of production
  • Specified new with F1 semi-automatic gearbox
  • What made the Superamerica unique and much more usable than its predecessor was this unique Revochromico rotating hardtop
  • A very special car destined to become a future collectible from the moment it was announced
  • Finished in original desirable colour combination of Nero Daytona with Tan leather
  • Timing belt service carried out by Kroymans in the Netherlands in February 2023
  • Just 24.000 kilometers since new

Car magazine was understandably enthusiastic: ‘The Maranello needs no excuses: it is right-minded, a return to traditional values, albeit values and standards that tower high above those set by the Daytona when it shuffled off to extinction a quarter of a century ago.’

Styled by Pininfarina like its illustrious ‘Daytona’ predecessor, the 550 Maranello was similarly proportioned, adopting the classical combination of long bonnet, small cabin and truncated tail.

Styling details such as the bonnet air scoop and hot air outlets behind the front wheelarches recalled the great competizione Ferraris of the past, in particular the immortal 250 GTO, while the tail incorporated Ferrari’s characteristic twin circular lights.

What made the Superamerica unique and much more usable than its predecessor was this unique Revochromico rotating hardtop.

This hardtop was constructed using a carbon fiber frame that had been integrated with electrochromic glass, and it was the first of its kind ever fitted to a production car.

Furthermore, the Superamerica could be transformed into a convertible at just a press of a button, with the roof rotating back to rest flush with the boot lid in just 10 seconds, leaving the rear window in place to function as a wind deflector.

Of course, this did not obstruct luggage capacity, and the Superamerica’s boot could swallow up more than enough luggage for two on a weekend getaway with the top up or down.

ABOUT THIS SPECIFIC EXAMPLE

The history of this Ferrari 575 Superamerica starts on the 14th. of April 2005 when this limited edition Ferrari was completed at Ferrari Spa in Modena.

The car was purchased by a Belgian resident, where it remained until it was purchased by the former owner in the Netherlands.

Despite covering just minimal mileage, the car was regularly maintained, with all servicing and maintenance performed by Ferrari agents.
The Ferrari passed into the hands of its former owner in 2021, and has since been used sparingly.
This specific Ferrari is with the F1-style gearbox management system.

Derived directly from Formula 1, the electro-hydraulic system is operated by paddles behind the steering wheel using the F355’s conventional 6-speed manual gearbox.

The car has been recently serviced by the Official Ferrari Dealer Kroymans in the Netherlands, and service receipts, will accompany the car.

CONDITION EXTERIOR

The shape of the Ferrari is extraordinary and is absolutely amazing. It remains in spectacular condition, clearly having been well preserved and maintained throughout its whole life.
Even though the car left the factory some time ago, it is presented in showroom-quality condition today. It has been preserved for its entire life in a large collection of collector cars.
The paintwork is flawless and shines bright.
There are no dents, scratches or blemishes on the car. One can find very minor stone chips on the bumper.
All windows including the front windows don’t show any damages like stone chips or scratches.
Altogether, the exterior condition of this Ferrari 575 Superamerica is very nice.

CONDITION INTERIOR

Its leather interior is still in excellent / as new condition. The interior is finished in beautiful Ferrari Cuoio Tan leather and it does a fantastic job of complementing the car’s exterior paintwork.

The seats are not damaged even as the carpets which are also still in a very nice / superb condition.

DRIVING EXPERIENCE

We think the Ferrari 575 Superamerica remains as popular and iconic today as when it was first built, and opportunities to acquire one are few and far between.

Already proving to be highly collectable, the 575 Superamerica is comfortable and versatile enough to be used on extended road trips.

The boot has more than enough luggage space for two on a weekend getaway with the top up or down.

The Superamerica is car regarded by many to be one of the finest Ferraris built thus far in the 21st century.

In Black Daytona with a Natural interior, this is not just an incredible, rare automobile but also a true gentleman’s Ferrari in every sense.
