This Bentley Mark VI comes to us with a massive & detailed diary of expenditures minutely recorded during its first 100,000 miles. It has now covered 143,000 documented miles from new. In 2002 a refurbished larger R type engine was installed which to this day is running beautifully. Assorted correspondence from the first owner comes with the car as does the Guarantee & letters from Bentley Motors.
The car has original brown leather & burr Walnut woodwork to the interior all in very nice lightly patinated condition. There is a slide open sunroof & also rear picnic tables along with brown carpets. All chrome work is in good condition. The orginal owners manual can be found in the glove box.
Possibly the best part of this car is the way it drives. The suspension is taut yet supple & the steering direct having had the king pins renewed previously. The R type spec engine gives that extra bit of performance making driving in modern traffic a pleasure.
The car is finished in masons black over silver; a colour scheme that suits the car very well giving it an elegant appearance with the paintwork being in good order thoughout. Under the dash boad is a pull out tool tray with a complete set of small tools. Everything works as it ought. The current owner is a long time RREC memeber & has taken care to get the car as good as it can be including relining the brake servo during his tenure. The owner prior to him had the car for some 12 years whist covering very linited mileage until at 90 plus years of age deciding to relinquish it to the current owner whom had known of the car for some years.
