The Austin-Healey 3000 entered the market in 1959 and production continued until 1967. The 3000 became the successor to its predecessor, the 100-6. However, the previous model had an engine with less displacement (2.6 litres) and less horsepower, this compared to the 3000 which featured a 2.9 litre engine. During the 8 years of production of the popular Austin-Healey 3000, 3 different versions were released. These were the Mk1, the Mk2 and the Mk3. The series of the "big Healey's", which started with the Austin-Healey 100, is still a highly sought-after classic among a wide audience, appreciated for its powerful 6-cylinder engine, the look of a truly fine sports car and the refined lines shaped by designer Gerry Coker.

This Healey was originally delivered to the United States. On 14 July 1959, the car was shipped with Hambro Trading Inc. Seattle, Washington, USA as its destination. Finally on 28-02-2022, the Austin Healey was registered on Dutch registration for the first time. Meet the timeless beauty of the 1960 Austin-Healey 3000 Mk1 BT7. This classic is fully restored and finished in ''Primrose yellow'' with beautifully finished black interior.

This Austin-Healey has been completely dismantled and then totally restored to every detail. This is reflected in both the condition and the photos & invoices present. It has the original matching numbers 2.9 litre inline-six cylinder engine with 2 SU carburettors under the bonnet, mated to a smooth 4-speed manual transmission with overdrive.

Louvers in the wings were added by Healey to the Works Rally cars to dissipate hot air under the bonnet faster, this provides extra cooling. In addition, several upgrades were applied which provides a safer and improved driving experience this includes power brakes, aluminium petrol tank and a plastic cooling fan. The wooden Moto Lita handlebars are not only beautiful to look at but also provide easy entry and better handling. The side-pipe provides more ground clearance and a nice sound. New black 15-inch 72-spoke rims, surrounded by new Vredestein Sprint tyres, provide good grip and better handling. Fog lights on the front bumper, along with chrome bumpers, grille and accents, add a touch of elegance.

The interior is beautifully finished in detail. The wooden Moto Lita steering wheel contrasts nicely with the black dashboard. The Healey comes with new soft top and side windows. There is also a tonneau cover that makes it easy to cover the car during a stop.

This Austin-Healey is in top condition and well documented. It comes with a BMIHT certificate, numerous invoices and photos of the restoration. These invoices total more than €35,000. Everything points to the care and dedication with which this classic has been treated and restored.

This is your chance to get your hands on a piece of automotive history.
