Giuseppe Rinaldi created the Abarth Milletrecento Scorpione with Carrozzeria Francis Bombardi of Vercelli. We can already feel our moustache and need for espresso and gas! Based on the Fiat 850, the Scorpione was the last independent Abarth ever produced.

It was presented in 1968 in Geneva, where quite a few drivers saw the potential in this venomous scorpion. After all, Abarth was one of the few manufacturers who offered racing support. When Fiat di compagnia took over Abarth in '71, production and support stopped. Since then the Scorpione is on the endangered-car species list and is only spotted in collections.

Giuseppe Rinaldi schuf den Abarth Milletrecento Scorpione zusammen mit der Carrozzeria Francis Bombardi aus Vercelli. Wir spüren bereits unseren Schnurrbart und unser Bedürfnis nach Espresso und Benzin! Der Scorpione basiert auf dem Fiat 850 und war der letzte eigenständige Abarth, der jemals produziert wurde.

Er wurde 1968 in Genf vorgestellt, wo einige Fahrer das Potenzial dieses giftigen Skorpions erkannten. Schließlich war Abarth einer der wenigen Hersteller, die Rennsportunterstützung anboten. Als Fiat di compagnia 71 die Firma Abarth übernahm, wurden die Produktion und der Support eingestellt. Seitdem steht der Skorpion auf der Liste der gefährdeten Arten und wird nur noch in Sammlungen gesichtet.
