A nice patinated car that has come to us from the ownership of a retired engeineer. He has done extensive work over the last year to put the car in tip top running condition.
The car is finished in a mid olive green colour with the paint in generally good order. To the interior is cream leather which we are in the process of giving a deep clean to & it is responding well. Underfoot is hard wearing vinyl floor covering but carpets could also easily be installed. The car has a black hood that is simple to erect & also slot in side screens for inclement weather. The dash board is of traditional burr walnut with well figured grain to it.
New tyres are fitted all round on the pressed steel wheels and there is a rear mounted spare wheel. The car starts easily & runs well & is a pleasure to drive al-fresco. A hood bag comes with the car that tucks neatly over the hood when it is down keeping the car tidy looking. This is a great little car & not expensive.
The engine oil has recently been changed along with the oil filter & refilled with 20/50 classic motor oil.
The gear box & rear axle have also been drained & refilled to level with 80/90 gear oil.
All grease nipples have been changed on the suspension & steering with STD grease used in the new nipples.
The steering rack has been topped up & carb dash pots correctly filled with 3 in 1 oil.
The 12V battery is in good order & is wired positive earth.
The brake pads are brand new & in the process of bedding in. The brake fluid was at the same time changed for new.
Antifeeze has been added to the radiator in the correct mixture ratio.
The car is thus in fine fettle & ready for the summer motoring season. This is not a garage queen but instead a lightly patinated very usable car in great running condition. The last owner had prepared it during the winter for this summers season but ended up being seduced by a velocette motorcycle we had in stock so a swap was arranged.
