Beschreibung
Bought in Germany in 1990, first owner in Poland. Stored in a garage for at least 20 years. Started several times a year and drives in and out of the garage on its own — a video of the running engine and driving can be provided on request.
The car is in original condition and mechanically fully functional. The bodywork is in poorer condition — everything is shown in the photos.
Importantly, the structural parts are healthy: the pillars, chassis rails (longitudinal members) and windscreen frame are rust-free. Rust is present only on the outer body panels.
Complete, original MK1 examples are increasingly hard to find, as most have not survived due to corrosion — this makes the car a solid and rare basis for restoration.
I had once intended to restore it myself, but decided to pass it on to someone who will take better care of it. The car is insured. Sold as seen.
