The Ferrari F430 took everything great about the 360 Modena and pushed it firmly into a new era. More power, sharper aerodynamics, a completely new 4.3 litre V8 and Formula One inspired technology, all wrapped in a car that remained usable on the road. With 490 horsepower, an 8,500 rpm redline, the F1 transmission, E Diff and the now iconic Manettino, the F430 became one of the defining modern Ferraris and one of the last great naturally aspirated V8 cars from Maranello.
This Ferrari F430 Coupé was delivered new in France on 26 November 2004 and first registered on 4 January 2005. The car was supplied through Pozzi Charles SA and delivered by Ferrari Maserati Bordeaux to its first owner, SARL Imola in Bayonne. As one of the early F430s, it was ordered in a truly exceptional specification. Instead of choosing one of the usual combinations, the first owner selected Blu Pozzi over Carta da Zucchero leather, together with matching blue carpets, contrasting piping and carefully chosen carbon details.
Blu Pozzi gives the F430 a completely different presence. In subdued light it appears almost black, while direct daylight reveals the deep navy blue underneath. It is elegant, discreet and incredibly classy. The Carta da Zucchero interior is just as special. Soft blue with a subtle grey undertone, it creates a beautifully balanced contrast with the darker exterior. This is the type of colour combination that only appears once in a very long while on an F430. It is rare, highly individual and clearly the result of someone who knew exactly what they were ordering.
Inside, the carbon fibre dashboard inserts add the right sporting touch, while the carbon fibre steering wheel immediately catches your eye from the driver’s seat. The specification continues with electrically adjustable seats, a coloured instrument panel, the High Power Hi Fi system with subwoofer and the original six disc CD changer. Very early 2000s Ferrari, and exactly how it should be. On the outside, the Scuderia Ferrari shields provide a strong contrast against the Blu Pozzi paintwork. The car was also specified with European battery charger preparation and the factory runflat tyre specification.
The car has covered 61,000 kilometres and is presented as a remarkably complete package. It comes with its original and fully stamped service book, all manuals and booklets, together with the supporting maintenance invoices. In addition to its complete and carefully documented maintenance history, this F430 received all the necessary work to bring it fully up to standard. Only around 1,000 kilometres ago, the clutch and key components of the F1 transmission were renewed, the catalytic converter and lambda sensor were replaced, and the car received fresh engine oil, filters, gearbox oil, brake fluid and a new battery.
In other words, the important work has already been done. This is a properly maintained, fully prepared and genuine get in and drive F430.
For us, this car has everything that makes a modern Ferrari truly desirable. One of the great naturally aspirated V8 engines, a complete history, recent technical investment and a colour combination that is almost impossible to repeat. It looks fantastic, it drives even better and it has exactly the sort of specification that collectors remember. F430s are not difficult to find. An F430 like this is.
