The Alfa Romeo Giulia was first introduced in 1962 as a compact executive car. In 1968, Alfa Romeo introduced the second generation of the Giulia, which was known as the Giulia 105. The new model featured a redesigned body with a longer wheelbase, wider track, and improved suspension. It was available in several different versions including the Giulia TI, Giulia Super, and Giulia Sprint GT Veloce.

The Giulia 105 was powered by a range of engines, including a 1.3-liter, 1.6-liter, and 1.8-liter four-cylinder engine. The top-of-the-line model, the Giulia Sprint GT Veloce, was equipped with a 1.6-liter

engine that produced 113 horsepower.
