H&H was founded by Simon Hope and Mark Hamilton in 1993 as a specialist auction house dedicated solely to the sale of collectors’ motorcars and motorcycles. Over twenty years later the company can boast a continuous trading history which exceeds that of any UK rival.

Chairman and Chief Auctioneer Simon Hope has over thirty years’ experience of auctioning specialist commodities. A collector since his university days, Simon has owned a wide variety of roadgoing and competition machinery; the latter allowing him to participate in such prestigious events as the Mille Miglia Storica, Le Mans Classic, Monaco Historics and Goodwood Revival.

In 2007 the company moved to larger premises and now offers a range of private sales, storage and other services in addition to its core auction business.

We've had the pleasure of handling everything from 1890s London to Brighton runners through to 1990s Formula 1 cars, not to mention a variety of iconic motorcycles, and holds a considerable number of world record auction prices.

Our client database extends to over 50,000 records worldwide and its website is visited by thousands of users every day, giving them an enviable reach to both buyers and seller. Our ethos has always been one of transparency, professionalism and client service.

H&H is staffed by hands-on enthusiasts and its specialist valuers are among the most knowledgeable in the industry. We've gained a reputation for providing excellent service, yet with charges among the lowest in the industry.
