Besondere Autos bleiben immer in Erinnerung, besonders bei der ersten Begegnung. Eines frühen Morgens am See in Laveno, Italien, startete unser Nachbar etwas, das blubberte, kreischte und mit - ziemlich viel - blauem Rauch zum Leben erwachte. Der 1750 GTV des 105er-Zweigs im Alfa-Stammbaum. Bis heute eines der schönsten Coupés, die je gebaut wurden, finden wir. Die Linien, die nicht zu viel sind, aber bildschön. Kein Schnickschnack, sondern die wichtigen Dinge hervorgehoben. Von einem Enthusiasten für einen Enthusiasten.

Auch das Fahrverhalten des 1750 GTV ist genau so, wie man es von einem legendären Romeo erwartet. Straff auf der Straße, viel Kontakt mit dem Asphalt und dank des Hinterradantriebs ein Druck im unteren Rücken. Wenn Ihr 'olio'-Messgerät in der Mitte steht, dann kommt der Sound ins Spiel. Denn wie gut ist er! Zwischen 5 und 6 Tausend Umdrehungen fährt er am schönsten, klingt am gesündesten und sobald man das Gaspedal loslässt; gerade genug Nachbrenner. Kein DSG-Knistern wie bei den modernen VW-Golfs, sondern echtes Nachbrennen. Man spürt bei jedem Herunterschalten, wie einem die Brusthaare wachsen!
