The MG F-Type Magna was the first six-cilinder engined sportscar from Abingdon-on-Thames. There is no doubt that it was a genuine sportscar with the archetypal straight six engine. It came with various body options and with its long bonnet and raked radiator grille certainly looked the part! With an undeniably smooth engine that had plenty of torque throughout the rev range and a competition derived gearbox that provided near perfect ratios, the combination afforded the right formula for pleasurable driving.

This F-Type Magna is a rare Salonette, of which only 390 examples were made. Today, less then 10 Salonettes are still known to exist. It looks stunning, being fully restored and in a period correct colour combination. Of course, it is a matching nrs car as well. The "Official Pass-out Voucher" dated the 9th of January 1932 is still with the car, and also an original brochure of "MG Magna Motoring" is included. Some people refer to this car as the little "Blue Train", as it definitely is a smaller size copy of the famous Bentley. The engine produces an impressive sound for only 1285 ccm, and one doesn't expect this from this friendly looking car. On the road, it offers proper pre-war sportscar motoring and attracts many admirers. The MG has a FIVA passport, and is ready for any concours d'elegance anywhere in the world. It's a pint-sized exotic in immaculate condition, and a great addition to any worldclass collection. On top of that, this MG Magna is very reasonably priced as it is an entry ticket for the most prestigious events.
