1984 | Mercedes-Benz 380 SE

The Mercedes W126 was the S class of the 80’s, an era when Stuttgart reached perfection in analogue engineering, with the 380 V8 (116.960) being the easiest engine, in our opinion, of the series to maintain. Our car was made with the improved timing chain and before the facelift. We are only the second owners and selected the car after a year of looking for a series 1 W126. The first owner was an Italian Architect with connections to the Arab world.

Since taking ownership 4 years ago my fellow MB enthusiast and I embarked on detailing every aspect of the car and ensuring mechanical perfection, including changing the timing chain. The car has always been garaged, which is reflected in the near perfect, original silver bodywork. Please see photograghs added showing imperfections.

The spare wheel is an origional that has never been used, whilst all the others in brand new. The full cream leather interior smells of luxury and has no rips or tears. The car has a modern hands free stereo and comes with both original keys and service history by MB. The car also has a solid silver key but the price does not include it. 

Currently on Italian plates, with a "Gold Targa", we will deliver anywhere in the EU, CH or UK at the cost of the trip being happy to meet other Mercedes enthusiasts. Passed its bi-annual Italian inspection in December 2023. Now, priced to sell as I have  too many cars.

What we love most about this car is the power / accelatarion from 100 to 150 km/ph. Just, kick down and say goodbye to that irrritating Audi driver tailgating you as the V8 lets loose all that horsepower.
