The Land Rover Defender is a four-wheel-drive off-road vehicle from the British brand Land Rover, produced from 1983 to early 2016. The design is based on the earlier Land Rover Series 1, 2, and 3. The name Defender has only been used since 1990 to distinguish the model from the more luxurious Land Rover Discovery.

The Defender was developed for use in extreme conditions. The vehicle is equipped with coil springs and has permanent four-wheel drive. The center differential can be locked for optimal traction off-road. The Defender has a body-on-chassis construction rather than a monocoque, making all components easy to replace, often manually. This is ideal for when maintenance is required in the field.

The vehicle no longer met European standards, and therefore the end of production was announced in 2015. The last Defender rolled off the assembly line on January 29, 2016.

A prototype of a successor to the Defender was unveiled in 2011. In 2019, its successor, the Land Rover Defender (L663), went into production.

The car presented here is a 2.2L diesel, in a commercial version. This results in a much lower road tax.
The car is exceptionally luxuriously equipped, including a beautiful radio, air conditioning, attractive black seats, and everything is black because it's the Black Edition.

The original bull bar is mounted up front, giving it a very rugged appearance. The five Sawtooth wheels are fitted with new tires and certainly contribute to the car's character. The rear features very powerful reversing lights for easy maneuvering. All in all, a beautiful, luxurious Defender that definitely deserves to be seen. It's completely clean under the hood and looks fantastic.
