1965 | Jaguar E-Type 4.2

Interest for the Jaguar E-Type is still strong, even after the 60th birthday of this iconic sportscar. It must have a lot to do with the fact that it is still one of the most beautiful cars ever made. On top of that, it is a very well engineered sportscar, which offered similar (or better) performance compared to the exotics from the likes as Ferrari or Aston Martin at the time. Another important advantage of the E-Type is the fact that it still feels and drives like a rather modern car, which is amazing for a 60 year old concept.

The example we are offering for sale is restored to concours condition in 2014-2015 by Carlos Cunha, a well respected classic car restorer in Portugal. The Jaguar is kept in fantastic condition since, and still looks and drives like a new car. No rattles, a splendid interior and a beautiful body with perfect shutlines and the most perfect paint job. The engine runs very sweet and offers great performance, while the full synchro gearbox works very smooth. The car is full matching nrs, and comes with a Jaguar Daimler Heritage Certificate as a proof. It is finished in its original (and very attractive) colour combination : Opalescent Silver Grey with a red interior and a black hood. The restoration is completely documented with invoices, pictures and videos.

Actually, we are very proud to once again be able to offer an E-Type in concours condition and in probably the most beautiful colour combination as it was delivered ex-works. Not a cheap example, but try to find a decent donor car and restore it to this immaculate condition : it will cost a lot more.
