ANW 418M presents in an exceptional colour combination of Emerald Green with a Beige Canvas roof and it has been owned by the same family for an impressive 30 years. Originally supplied out of British Leyland Motor Corp in Jacksonville, U.S.A on the 3rd September 1973, the TR6 left the showroom with disc wheels, a heater, and inertia reel belts and little over twenty years later, the TR6 was imported back to the UK from Alabama.
In 1992 the TR6 was subject of a major ground up restoration. The Triumph body was removed, and the chassis was stripped and protected and the car built up to a very high standard. Almost a year into the restoration the original White paint of the body was stripped back, and the car was then repainted in the beautiful Emerald Green. Several years on from the rebuild, a later owner commissioned marque specialists TR Bitz to convert the Triumph to UK 150 PI specification. The odometer was reset and since then, only 6,000 miles have been covered.
34 years on since its restoration, structurally the TR6 is in impressive condition. ANW 418M is a superb driving car with a strong engine holding great oil pressure. On the road the Triumph feels fit and tight with minimal mileage being covered since its major program of work and expenditure. While mechanically and structurally the car is excellent, the TR assumes the position of a very usable classic car that would benefit from some light cosmetic improvements to include a new rear bumper. We are happy to discuss selling the car in its current cosmetic condition, or agree a program of light improvement work subject to the price.
