1969 Jaguar E-Type S2 OTS powered by the 4.2L 6 inline engine producing 245 bhp

Beautiful Opalescent Silver Blue 1969 Jaguar E-Type Series 2 OTS (Open Two Seater) with beautiful blue leather interior and matching blue soft top. Power comes from the long-lived, much loved XK six cylinder inline DOHC engine. A very highly regarded power plant. The 4.2 version is torquier and has a more relaxed power supply. This series 2 has the version with 2 Stromberg carbs instead of the triple SU layout and a larger valve clearance. Resulting in a power output of 246 hp. Attached to a smooth 4 speed full synchronized manual gearbox with a sturdy limited slip differential as standard equipment. 

This particular OTS was built during the spring of 1969. She was delivered to the first owner in Texas, who had her up until 2016. Her second owner enjoyed her for 2 years before she was imported to Belgium back in 2018.The 3rd and final owner has enjoyed her for almost 6 years before stepping into a more comfortable V12 GT car. She still is a matching numbers car with an original set of chrome wire wheels, stainless steel exhaust and an as nice blue “as new”, easily folding canvas convertible top. Cherished and loved by every owner. Recent repair invoices prove the car was serviced and kept in an overall perfect condition. 

It is not everyday that you come across an E-Type with such a well kept history and with so few owners. Having spent almost all of her life in the dry Texas climate, her body is in great condition. With a respray approximately 10 years ago, making her shine like new. Inside, she is in equally as good condition with comfortable and stunning blue leather seats. Her colour combination of silver over blue surely makes her stand out amongst the other E-Types.

Mechanically she is ready for any kind of adventure. Her 4.2L 6 cylinder engine sounds and drives great. Changing gears is a joyful experience too with her gearbox being a tight and smooth shifting example. We gave her a full check and our seal of approval meaning we can confidently send her with her new owner into summer.
