Who wouldn’t want one? A perfectly restored 1971 MG B Roadster. This American sourced car was completely restored by its previous owner. The car still is in peak condition and comes with excellent documentation.

The straight bodywork has nice and thin, correctly aligned panelwork. The restoration took in the necessary panel repairs. The car was finished in its original Tahiti Blue colour. Many new parts were used during the reassembly. The interior trim was completely replaced as were the brightwork and bumpers. 15-inch Minilite wheels and a full Peco sports exhaust we also fitted.

The accompanying records indicate the restoration took a number of years. It was first started in 1995 and finally completed in 2004. Since then the owner has continued with excellent maintenance and has only driven it in fine weather.

Both chassis and bodywork are still in great shape and look just fine. The interior has maintained its very good condition with lovely black leather upholstery and well-fitting black carpets. The dashboard top and instrument cluster have also received the necessary good attention. The vinyl hood was replaced with a new one during the process. Before fitting the new hood the frame was completely overhauled and repainted. The hood is in good shape and fits properly. A tonneau cover of course forms part of the party.

Many new parts were used during the full engine overhaul. Both motor and transmission are in good shape. The engine has just that little more breath thanks to the aforementioned Pico exhaust. Both brakes and suspension have been replaced.

The restoration has been nicely documented with pictures and invoices in a large file. The file gives you an idea about the extent of the work carried out.

This, in short, is a very fine MG B Roadster in such shape you are bound to have many more enjoyable years of driving around with the top down.
