Description

You know what even after all these years the old MGB Roadster still looks a cracking sports car no matter what angle you view it from. Get that roof down on a sunny day and they're a sheer pleasure to drive especially with the overdrive gearbox, guaranteed to put a smile on your face. Parts availability is so well supported by numerous independent outlets, and the MG Owners Club is the largest one make club on the planet

The Chrome bumper models are without doubt the most sought , and the improvements of the MK2 in 1968 provided the best of both worlds while still maintaining the original outward appearance. This lovely example we have here has certainly enjoyed a cherished life. In more recent times it has been the subject of a full body restoration to include new sills, door skins, lower rear wings, new front wings etc. The attention to detail is clearly shown in the superb panel fit on this car something often lacking on many other examples for sale. To finish the car a complete re-spray in the original tartan red again to a very high standard completes the picture

The navy blue upholstery remains in well preserved condition, and I suspect new carpets would have been added at some point in the car's life. The black soft top looks well with good clear plastic rear windows. All the instruments work correctly and there's a nice period working radio installed in the dashboard provision.

Very sweet running engine maintaining a good oil pressure, and we have ourselves just carried out full oil and filter change for the new owner's convenience. The five period alloy wheels are a refreshing change from the norm and really set the car apart . But if the new owner would like painted wires we are happy to fit at the same price. A full tonneau cover is provided in the boot for when the roof is down, always useful when the car is left parked
