The 1.5 series was only built for 1 year. Features are the popular 280 M110 engine and the smooth tail lights. /8 series coupes are therefore very rare and especially popular.
For sale is a very rare and very beautiful 280C with the indestructible M110 engine with the two overhead camshafts as a carburetor engine, which was used by Mercedes until well into the 80s in many models.
The car was privately owned for the last 20 years and was very well maintained as a garage car during this time. There is also a complete documentation with many invoices and all TÜV reports.
In 2008, the car was repainted and the engine was overhauled in early 2020 for just under 4,000 euros. The automatic transmission was completely overhauled in 2019 for 2,000 euros.
The vehicle was purchased in 2003 with four previous owners and is in absolute and complete original condition. No other attachments, no other exterior mirrors - all original.
The car is just under 50 years as and is not a new car. Anyone who decides to buy a car like this has to do so out of passion and enjoyment of electronics-free technology of the 60s or 70s. The vehicle has no repair backlog, is fully suitable for everyday use and is an honest car. Welding work is not necessary and the "usual" spots on a /8 coupe from these years are flawless.
