70% of E-type production was sold in the United States, and this car, like many others, was distributed by the Jaguar dealership in New York and delivered on 21 September 1962. The current triple black colour scheme is the original from that period, as indicated in the Heritage certificate of origin, and the accompanying hardtop is also the original fibreglass one.

The car was completely restored between 2024 and 2025, and to date has only covered a few test kilometres: it has Dutch documents and all duties paid, ready to be registered in any European country.
