The design team led by Oskar Siebler created the first (and only) DKW with a three-roller fuselage, modern and elegant by the standards of the time, although not particularly innovative. The design broke with the model it replaced and was considered pleasing at the time, especially at the front, which featured a chrome grille with two round headlights at the ends, while the sides were simple and finished with ribs.

The design of the back is characterised by horizontal rectangular lights, contaminated only by the very prominent opening of the fuel filler neck. As for the passenger compartment, it has a manufacturer’s approval for five seats. The driver’s seat features a centrally positioned two-spoke steering wheel with four ring logos, where the horn is also located; an oval-shaped instrument panel that includes a speedometer and odometer on the left; a series of gauges on the right.
A circular dial displays the oil level indicator, water temperature indicator, clock and two warning lights for the oil level and generator. The car also has a two-speed heating system. The boot has a capacity of 410 L, which is not bad by today’s standards, but features such as those for the spare wheel are placed in the lower part of the boot, close to the passenger compartment that separates the boot.
