Chevrolet Corvette C1 is not just an ordinary convertible; it is the first generation of the Corvette sports cars, which are widely regarded as iconic “Made in the USA” classics and one of the true American symbols. It is versatile, luxurious, powerful and imposing. Manufacture of the C1 started in 1953 and continued until 1962 with only minor aesthetic changes made to the original design during the years. Our 1961 model includes the final “facelift” of the first generation. The car is in excellent condition and has already received a number of awards at various occasions. It received the Mark of Excellence Award at NCRS competition in 1995, won the first prize at the 10th annual East Coast Corvette Show & Go in 1996, and received the Preservation Award by the Antique Automobile Club of America. What is more, it boasts a certified original signature on the engine’s valve cover by the “Father of the Corvette”, Mr Zora Arkus-Duntov.
