Description
Here is a Norwegian-sold BMW 700 that was restored a few years ago. New interior in recent years. Sold new in Norway in 1961 by Bertil O. Steen. The BMW 700 is a small car with a rear engine that was produced by BMW in various models from August 1959 to November 1965. It was the first BMW car with a self-supporting body. The 700 was a sales success at a time when BMW was close to financial disaster. The 700 was also successful in its class in motorsport, both in the standard version and as a basis for a special model called the 700RS. More than 188,000 were sold before production ended in November 1965. After discontinuing 700, BMW left the economy car market and ventured into the upper segment with the "new class". Needs chrome plating of bumpers to be 100%
