This cute red Italian spider is a Autobianchi Stellina, which in Italian means little star.It was introduced at the Turin auto salon in 1963 and produced between 1964 and 1965. Only 502 cars were produced of which only a few survived, and so they are very rare. The Stellina was based on the chassis of the Fiat 600 and used the same 600cc engine, to increase performance, during the last period of production the engine capacity was increased to 791,8cc and was then sold as the Stellina 800. The Stellina was a very revolutionary car with a body made completely out of fiberglass, even though this technique was applied already on US models like the corvette before, it was the first european car applying this technique.

The offered car is a Stellina 800 build in 1965 and has chassis number 000336. The car is offered as a restoration project. The engine runs smooth and it drives, shifts and brakes ok.
This is a project and needs restauration 
The bodywork is entirely made of polyester and so rust free but needs a repaint, The cabrio top is in good condition. The seats need to be reupholstered. Chassis has rust repair to be done.
Please note that the car comes as is on the photos and some parts are missing like the bumpers, rear lights and the Autobianchi badges, the windshield is not original but a persplex remake.
The car comes with the original Italian licence papers (stamped for export) form the 2nd owner who has owned it since 1966.
The car is currently based in the Netherlands.
