2003 ASTON MARTIN DB7 GTA
A fitting swansong to the DB7, a model that proved highly successful and an important turning point in the fortunes of Aston Martin, the DB7 GT and GTA derivatives, launched together at the 2002 British Motorshow, took an already refined and accomplished car to another level, both in performance and appearance.
Other than engine performance (the GTA model retaining the 420bhp V12 engine) gearbox and badging, the GTA is identical to the GT model, benefitting from numerous specifications upgrades, including modified suspension and braking thus stiffening the chassis by 20%, aerodynamic enhancements including the revised boot lid spoiler to improve high speed stability, twin bonnet vents for better air flow management, a distinctive wire mesh radiator grille and lower air intake, unique 5 spoke 18” alloy wheels, recaro sport seats, instrument dials finished in parchment with black numerals, DB7 GTA badging and sill plaques and satin finished climate controls.
Instead of the DB7 GT’s close ratio 6 speed transmission, the GTA provides three different ways of changing gear – by selecting standard automatic, sport automatic or sequential touchtronic.
Even rarer than the DB7 GT, just 112 GTA’s were built with 60 for the UK RHD market.
The excellent example we are now pleased to offer was first registered in 2003 and is finished in Mendip Blue over Atlantic Blue hides with black oak veneers. In addition to the standard GTA specifications, this car is equipped with silver brake calipers, sports exhausts, Becker Premium audio system with SatNav and heated front screen.
Benefitting from regular servicing at Aston Martin main agents throughout its life, since being purchased by its former, Aston Martin collector owner, our own workshops have carried out servicing and maintenance with substantial investment in usual areas such as new tyres, spark plugs and ignition coils, new radiator, air conditioning overhaul and new front brake discs and pads.
Presented now in super condition throughout, on the button and ready to be enjoyed.
Available for viewing and demonstration now at our Hertfordshire showrooms.
