Descrizione

  • Extensive restoration undergone at Workshop Seventy7
  • 2.4-litre flat six has been rebuilt and upgraded with the desirable magnesium 7R crankcase
  • Originally a United States car with K-Jetronic fuel injection
  • Reworked suspension with KW V3s

This 1973 911T is a stunning example of the classic German sports car, finished in a striking Aubergine exterior colour with black Muirhead leather inside. The car was lovingly restored and upgraded at Workshop Seventy7 to become an 'Oshe' car, with this particular example designated 'Zero5'. It has been built to be a modern and usable classic car, whilst retaining the essence of its heritage.

The engine slung out over the rear wheels is a air-cooled 2.4-litre flat six which has been rebuilt and upgraded with a Crane cam, Weber 40 IDA carburettors, a Perma-Tune ignition system, and the desirable magnesium 7R crankcase. The car was originally sold in the United States and imported to the UK in February 2016, meaning it also has the K-Jetronic fuel injection system. This work brought power to a dyno-tested 175whp.

The current owner states that the car was finished in Tangerine when purchased, but has been stripped back to bare metal then repaired and repainted in a shade of Aubergine which has been tweaked ever so slightly. A Certificate of Authenticity was obtained from Porsche to confirm that the original colour was in fact Aubergine. Due to the extensive restoration work, the bodywork presents itself in outstanding condition with no marks or damage apart from some very light rubbing from the rear tyres on the arches.

Touches on the exterior include the US-spec full red rear lights which include orange flashing indicators for the UK, and the ‘Oshe’ badge on the rear decklid. Oshe, named after an African God of Thunder, is the name given to Workshop Seventy7’s halo cars, with limited vehicles built every year.

No stone has gone unturned with the Zero5. Extensive restoration work has gone into every single piece of bodywork and suspension down to the last nut and bolt. The suspension is cleaned and blasted back to bare metal before being restored and powder coated. Each nut and bolt is zinc plated in order to keep them looking clean and preventing rust.

The front suspension has been reworked and upgraded with a set of KW V3s that were originally for a G-series car and have been modified to fit. It was then set up by geometry and alignments specialists Centre Gravity. The wheels are from a company called Braid and are a square setup rather than the more common staggered approach. Tyres are Toyo Proxes with 8mm tread all round.

Inside you’ll find a fully restored interior with Muirhead leather covering the dashboard, seats and door cards. A number of subtle modifications have been made including leather-wrapped 356 door handles, a Momo Prototipo steering wheel, wooden gear knob and a bluetooth phone setup hooked up to a Focal audio system.

Efforts have been made to make the Zero5 a usable classic car, with a number of upgrades made in order to improve reliability and usability. Though the low beams remain original and period correct, the high beam headlights are more modern HID items. Many of the electrics have been overhauled including a more modern fuse box with blade fuses rather than bullets.

The vendor states that it has done approximately 1000 miles since the restoration was completed, with it being stored indoors at Workshop Seventy7. There is an extensive file of images and videos documenting the restoration process.
