This car is extraordinary, as is its history.

Its owner for the last 30 years was Peter Johansson, a Swedish engineer, designer and inventor, actively working and holding patents in the field of Drive by wire and Brake by wire for autonomous vehicles. He inherited his passion for motoring - and for scientific discoveries - from his father, Sigvard "Saab-Sigge" Johansson, a true legend of the Saab brand.

The most famous invention of Sigge and Peter is the Haldex system.

Sigge became involved with Saab many years earlier, in 1959.

His most important inventions are the Westgate valve in a turbo in a production car (Saab 99 Turbo) and LSD in a front-wheel drive car.

In addition to his engineering work, he was also an active racing driver, supported by the Saab Sport factory team.

His greatest successes include winning the class in the 6h Nurburgring endurance race in 1964.

He did this behind the wheel of a Saab 96, and at that time, as a souvenir, he received the engine from the winning car.

Stored for years, in the mid-90s it ended up in a replica of the Saab 96 racing car built by his son, Peter, and here is that car!

The heart, powered by three carburetors, is its most important point. With a capacity of just 0.85 l, it is capable of generating as much as 80 HP!

In the car we can find a number of other elements from racing team's cars. We can find special air intakes on the hood, a fan with more blades, steel Saab Sport rims, disc brakes at the front, a 4-speed gearbox, a special exhaust system and many other elements that make this two-stroke pearl one of a kind.

After the car was imported in 2025, it did not require any mechanical work.

What we could do was clean the car's floor of anti-corrosion bituminous coatings. Several points were repaired by the bodywork, the underbody was covered with a reactive primer from Dinitrol and preserved with waxes from the same company.

Sold with Swedish documents, has a current technical inspection.
