Description

At the time of its production, the Mercedes C126 Coupé was considered the best car in the world. And even today, people understand this title. 
It is based on the shortened body of the Mercedes W126 saloon. By further stiffening the body, it was possible to do without the B-pillar; a very elegant feature then as now. The modified snout with wider grille and narrower headlights also underline the timeless elegance of this classic. 
The 560 SEC offered here, is one of the last cars built that has undergone all model maintenance and detail improvements. The car has a complete history and is in new condition. 

The Mercedes C126 left the factory in Stuttgart on 22/07/91. From there it was shipped to California where it was registered to Mr. Lowe on 29.09.92. At the time of delivery, the car had a proven mileage of 58 miles. Mr Lowe invested in a 10-year maintenance contract with Mercedes. There are no gaps in these maintenance records. He drove the car approximately 26,000 miles until February 2013. 

On 20.01.14 this Mercedes 560 SEC was bought by Mr H., a renowned tax consultant and 126 collector, in California and shipped back to Germany. He took the car into his collection, Europeanised, refined, and detailed it. In the course of this, the somewhat larger rims of the R129 were also installed. 
In March 2015, due to several small scratches, the car was completely painted to shine in new car condition. In the course of the work, the underbody was ice-blasted, completely checked for accident-free condition and treated with Mike Sanders wax. 
Mr. H. also had the following work carried out:

  • Covering of the headliner in Alcantara
  • Change of the hardy discs
  • Change of the rear spring pressure accumulator
  • Change of the cylinder head gasket
  • Change of brake fluid
  • Change of oil with filter
  • Change of coolant
  • Change of fuel lines
  • Change of push rod bearings
  • Change of bushings on rear axle
  • Change of bushings on shift linkage
  • Change of the oil guide of the camshaft

The Mercedes C126 was then sold to Mr. B. through us. Before that the following work was done at our workshop:

  • Fitting rear letters on the boot lid
  • Rear number plate holder 
  • H4-lamps 120% installed
  • New sun visor for the driver
  • Order key fob
  • Make two missing keys
  • Fill up oil level control valve
  • Replace connecting rod for level control valve
  • Correct rear level 3cm too low
  • Repair right door handle
  • Install new left door handle
  • Fill 1/2 l ATF oil into the tank.
  • Install new speedometer with kilometre scale, put original speedometer in the boot.
  • Rebuild ESP sensor
  • Install new windscreen wipers
  • Install new fan for AC, turn off radiator ( 2,5h )
  • Repair sun visor lamps and holders
  • Install new fuel filler cap
  • Oil leak engine, change valve cover gaskets
  • Left side front 1 cm too low, install rubber spacer with 2 points
  • Fit two missing rubber covers in rear apron
  • Remove battery, remove battery tray, clean paint and fit new tray and battery
  • Remove CD changer and send for repair (not repairable)
  • Fit missing stickers, lamp box and fuse box
  • Remove aerial and send for repair, clean boot
  • Adjust headlights
  • Eliminate squeaking

On behalf of Mr. B. we are now selling the Mercedes 560 SEC back into good hands. The following work has now been carried out on the car recently:

  • MOT ( TÜV)
  • paint the front bumper partly ( scratch )
  • eliminate small dent on the right door
  • refilling the air-conditioning
  • compiling the history
  • complete reconditioning and detailing

We sell a Mercedes C126 560SEC with best history in best condition, ready to go ! It will be hard to find a better C126.
