Classic Gala Schwetzingen 2021 I Great anniversaries and a world premiere

The 17th Internat. Concours d’Elegance ASC-Classic-Gala Schwetzingen will once again take place with the tried and tested Corona precautionary concept, which gives visitors the opportunity to stroll along the timeline of automobile history at their leisure.
Tickets are again on sale in advance and a face mask must be carried, but once guests have begun their suggested walk along the wide avenues, nothing stands in the way of an enjoyable study of automotive history and the many trade offers.

“Walk on the right” is the most important motto, so as not to get in each other’s way when looking at the 150 car rarities from the period between 1890 and 1990. The unique, circular baroque garden of Schwetzingen Palace is once again the arena for an automotive journey through the ages.

Whether steam or electric cars, motor carriages, small cars from the economic miracle or even state cars and clever individual developments – for the family-friendly admission price of only 7 euros, the Classic Gala Schwetzingen 2021 shows how the automobile has developed over the last 120 years and how important design is for its success.

This exhibition will also be topped this year by special displays. The 100th anniversaries of the Maybach automobiles and the Carrozzeria Ghia, for which rare automobiles from all over Europe have registered, will be celebrated exclusively in Schwetzingen.

The Jaguar E-Type was presented for the first time at the Geneva Show in 1961 and 60 years later, all variations can now be seen in Schwetzingen.

Another highlight will be the world premiere of the “Wundercar Collection”, which will present unique BMW E3 one-offs, such as the “California” the first and only full convertible. In the 9th USCCC, the Concours for US Classics, the 110th anniversary of Chevrolet will be visible as the leading theme this time.

Traditionally, the special automobiles will be garnished by cultural, culinary, musical as well as artistic programme items and exhibitors. The result will once again be an automotive social festival for young and old.
