Auto e Moto d‘Epoca 2025 – From the first combustion engine to the last Ferrari world champion
There are many new features to admire at Auto e Moto d’Epoca 2025, the 42nd edition of the renowned trade fair, which will be held from 23 to 26 October at the BolognaFiere exhibition centre. With 235,000 m² of exhibition space, four themed courses and a long list of premieres and anniversary celebrations, Auto e Moto d’Epoca 2025 is consolidating its position as a European benchmark in the trade fair landscape.
„75:1 – 75 Years, One Seat“ – A special exhibition marking the 75th anniversary of Formula 1
Among the new features is the exhibition ‘75:1 – 75 Years, One Seat’, dedicated to the 75th anniversary of Formula 1. It presents the technical, sporting and cultural development of the world’s most important motorsport class, featuring authentic Formula 1 cars from the 1950s to the 2000s. Among the protagonists are three icons from the MAUTO National Automobile Museum: the Ferrari 500 F2 (1952), with which Alberto Ascari won the drivers’ world championship title in 1952 and 1953, the Mercedes-Benz W 196 R (1954), with which Fangio won the world championship title two years in a row in 1954 and 1955, and the Ferrari 156 F1 (1963), which was designed according to the regulations introduced in 1961. The National Automobile Museum – Loh Collection is exhibiting Kimi Räikkönen’s Ferrari F2007, the first Ferrari model from the post-Schumacher era and also the last Formula 1 car to bring the Drivers’ World Championship title to Maranello. Also on display are Formula 1 cars driven by legends such as Ayrton Senna, Phil Hill, John Surtees, Clay Regazzoni, Gilles Villeneuve, Carlos Sainz and Riccardo Patrese.
Honda Classic – The history of the house with the golden wing
Honda Motor Europe Ltd. Italia has chosen Auto e Moto d’Epoca to celebrate its legendary racing history with HondaClassic – an extraordinary 600 m² exhibition featuring 38 iconic motorcycles. It is dedicated to the passion for two-wheelers and the technological development that has made the company with the golden wing a global icon. The exhibition pays tribute not only to the models that have shaped the history of the brand, but also to those of motorcycle racing and technology. Visitors are offered a real journey through time, divided into four themed areas: two-stroke engines ‘Made in Atessa’; Grand Prix motorcycles; off-road area; series production.
From Germany to Bologna – The Loh Collection at Auto e Moto d’Epoca 2025
The National Motor Museum – The Loh Collection presents unique exhibits such as the Mercedes-Benz CLK-GTR, which was originally built as a racing version and later converted into a road-legal vehicle with special permission. The model on display is a pre-production prototype that was used as the official vehicle for press and development purposes. Also on display is the BMW M1 Procar, with which Niki Lauda won the first championship in 1979 and secured three victories with this M1. In 1980, Hans-Joachim Stuck took over the vehicle, won in Monaco and took third place in the overall standings.
The large ASI Village in Hall 25 – The first combustion engine in history
The Italian Classic Car and Motorcycle Club (ASI) will be present with over twenty member clubs from all over Italy, showcasing a particularly comprehensive and varied exhibition of classic cars. At the association’s stand, visitors can admire the first combustion engine in history: the Barsanti and Matteucci engine, designed and built in Tuscany in 1853. Also on display is the Alfa Romeo 184T Formula 1, a Formula 1 car with distinctive livery that competed in the 1984 World Championship in Benetton colours.
Motor Valley and the classic car universe
Motor Valley will also take centre stage at Auto e Moto d’Epoca 2025, revealing the true soul of this motor paradise. Among those present in Bologna will be: Dallara, Pagani, Musei Ferrari, Lamborghini Polo Storico, Maserati, Museo Ferruccio Lamborghini, Canossa Events, Concours d’Elégance Trofeo Salvarola Terme, Misano World Circuit, Autodromo di Modena and Autodromo di Imola Enzo e Dino Ferrari.
The experience is rounded off by a large presence of classic car clubs and registers, small and large car dealers, restorers, spare parts, collectibles and automobilia, taking visitors on a comprehensive journey through the world of classic cars.
