The auction – Aguttes Tour Auto Optic 2OOO

On 30 April 2021, the Aguttes auction house hosted the 30th Tour Auto Optic 2OOO Auction at the Grand Palais Ephémère, Paris. First and foremost, interested parties were offered exquisite wines, spirits and designer furniture, but car fans also got their money’s worth during the auction.

THESE WERE THE LOTS TO WATCH OUT FOR

1990 Citroën 2 CV Charleston

Among other things, a rare “Charleston Duck” was offered. The special series, limited to 8,000 vehicles, was presented by Citroën at the Paris Motor Show in October 1980. With its unconventional and trendy two-tone design, houndstooth pattern seats and round headlights, the 2CV 6 Charleston is considered by many fans to be the most unusual version of the 2CV.

The fact that the vehicle on offer has only covered 9 km since new and has not yet been registered adds to the great rarity value of this model.

While most models were shipped to the USA at the request of the importer Max Hoffman, this particular vehicle is a European model which was first owned by a GI stationed in Germany at the time.

1962 Ferrari 250 GT Berlinetta SWB (C)
