Beschreibung

We are thrilled to present a magnificent piece of motoring history, the RP1002. Bob Peterson Engineering needs no introduction to classic Bentley aficionados, and chassis RP1002 is a testament to Peterson's exceptional craftsmanship. As Graeme and Robert have discussed, this car is the second creation from Bob Peterson himself, making it a remarkable collector's piece.

The connection between Bob Peterson and Graeme Hunt stretches back to the 1990s when Graeme was the Managing Director of Jack Barclay. During that time, they commissioned a series of specials from Peterson, resulting in some truly magnificent motorcars. It is extraordinary to have one of his earliest creations available for sale after all these years.

This exquisite vehicle is built on a 1930s Phantom Rolls Royce chassis, featuring a Bentley S1 straight-six engine paired with a MK VI gearbox. Additionally, it includes a Peterson/Laycock overdrive, making it ideal for long journeys. The body, as described by Peterson himself, is "Built in the style of the Bentley team car 1930". Meticulously maintained throughout its life, the car comes to sale with a fresh service from us.

Driving the RP1002 is an experience that marries vintage charm with robust engineering. The straight-six engine purrs with a distinctive elegance, while the overdrive ensures that long-distance travel remains smooth and effortless. Each journey in this vehicle is a celebration of classic motoring, providing the driver with a sense of connection to the golden age of automotive history.

Even in his early works, Peterson's attention to detail and commitment to quality were evident. The RP1002 is a shining example of why Bob Peterson has built such a sterling reputation over the years. The car's handling is precise, the build quality impeccable, and the overall driving experience nothing short of exhilarating. It's no wonder Peterson's creations are held in such high regard by collectors and enthusiasts alike.

This example is one of the very earliest testaments to the legendary engineering prowess of Bob Peterson, a name now revered in our world.
