1952 | Morris Minor MM

The last time we sold this delightfully original Morris Minor Series MM was three years ago, and prior to that back in 2011 when we supplied it to a lady a few miles North of Sheffield. After eleven years of ownership and many trouble-free miles, health reasons forced the cars long term lady owner to make the difficult decision to sell the Morris. We were pleased to have been entrusted to find a new home for this lovely, cherished example, and due to lack of use we fully re-commissioned the Morris ahead of selling it to a regular long-term customer in Hertfordshire.

FSL 669 is a Home Market example built on the 2nd-6th October 1952, leaving the factory in Clarendon Grey with Brown upholstery. The Morris was supplied new by Colmore Depot Ltd, Birmingham and then spent most of its early life in the South, spending the late 1970's, 1980's and 1990's in the Weymouth area. Since the early 2000's the Morris has had four owners, three of which are known to us and over this period the Minor has covered less than 2000 miles, and regular servicing and maintenance had kept the car on the button.

When supplying the car back in 2011, and again in 2022 we described it as a very original Morris Minor, and today this still stands. Of course, the car has required re-furnishment over its lifetime, but it's clear from the very original, structurally excellent bodyshell that this has never been a bad car, left to deteriorate. Although this example hasn't had paintwork for many years, the Clarendon Grey finish has a lovely gleam to it, but it's not without odd blemishes, but importantly imperfections are commensurate with age, and not due to corrosion. The interior has a delightfully original feel to it, the engine bay and boot compartment are very good, and on the road, once serviced and prepared will perform beautifully as it did when leaving us back in 2011. This is a lovely, honest Series MM, a true delight.
